Hello, I'm Thomas; I am a creative technologist approaching software development with a critical conciseness to build interactive installations and serious games. My work challenges audiences to explore social issues and empowers users to engage with real-world problems.
At Samford University, I earned my B.S. in Computer Science with a focus on Game Development, where I laid the foundation for my innovations in creative software. My augmented reality exhibition Out of Order showcased this technical and artistic expertise, inviting viewers to explore themes of faith, sexuality, and identity through digital animations and illustrations.
Currently, I'm pursing an Interactive Design M.F.A. at SCAD, where I am deepening my exploration of purposeful, digital experiences. My latest, ongoing collection, Do Not Enter, is a set of archival content transformed with macabre imagery to spark critical dialogue about identity politics and platform sociality. My thesis project, an in-development serious game, guides players through an empathetic exploration of the Matthew Shepard’s story, using empathy design theory to offer a nuanced understanding of the events surrounding his death.
I post regular updates on Instagram about my works in progress.
