Hello, I'm Thomas; I am a creative technologist utilizing speculative design and ethnographic practices to push forward innovation in interactive installations and serious games.
At Samford University, I earned my B.S. in Computer Science with a focus on Game Development, where I laid the foundation for my innovations in creative software. My augmented reality exhibition, Out of Order, showcased this technical and artistic fusion, inviting viewers to explore a personal narrative through digital animations and illustrations.
Currently, I'm pursing an Interactive Design M.F.A. at SCAD, where I am deepening my exploration of academically rigorous approaches to digital experiences. My thesis project, a true-crime documentary game, guides players through an empathetic exploration of the tragic 1998 killing of Matthew Shepard, using theories of procedural rhetoric and speculative documentary to offer a nuanced understanding of the events surrounding his death.
